Heat transfer analysis of stationary bed materials in a CFB boiler after a sudden power failure

Compared to a pulverized coal boiler, circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler may face greater risk if sudden power failure accident happens due the massive materials in its main loop. In this study, numerical simulation is conducted analyze heat transfer process of stationary and estimate temperature based on real that happened 170 t/h CFB boiler. The results are consistent well with measurement data three measuring points, which indicates reliable. show continuously dissipate but cooling trends different areas different. average estimated reach 729.2 °C at end time simulation. It also found thermal conductivity material major influencing factor dissipation after failure, while effect emissivity slight.
